Asean Tourism Agreement (Ata) Yaitu

(1) the extension of the visa exemption for nationals of ASEAN Member States travelling within the region, on the basis of bilateral visa-free agreements between Member States that are willing to do so; (5) promote the development and promotion of ASEAN as the only tourist destination offering world-class standards, facilities and attractions; (4) the creation of an integrated network of tourism and tourism services to maximize the complementarity of the region`s tourist attractions; Member States cooperate in the area of human resource development in the tourism and travel sectors by adopting strict measures (6) aimed at preventing the abuse and exploitation of people, especially women and children, in the context of tourism. (2) strengthen cooperation between ASEAN Member States in the tourism sector in order to improve its efficiency and competitiveness; REMEMBERing the Hanoi Action Plan we adopted at our sixth summit on 15-16 December 1998 in Hanoi and the ASEAN Ministerial Agreement on Tourism Cooperation signed in Cebu, Philippines on 10 January 1998, which included the development and promotion of ASEAN as the only tourist destination with world-class standards, facilities and attractions; REAFFIRMING our commitment to the rules and principles of the General Agreement on Trade in Services and our policy to apply them to the tourism and travel industry; CONSCIENTSS of improving the efficiency and competitiveness of ASEAN`s tourism services; (7) create favourable conditions for the public and private sectors in order to be able to become more involved in the development of tourism, in travel within ASEAN and, hence, in tourist services and facilities. (2) increased joint use of resources and facilities for tourism education and training programmes; NOTE the strategic importance of the tourism industry for sustainable socio-economic growth in ASEAN Member States and the diversity of cultures, economy and complementary benefits throughout the region, which would benefit ASEAN`s tourism development in promoting improved quality of life, peace and well-being at the regional level; ATF merupakan usaha regional untuk mempromosikan kawasan ASEAN sebagai satu destinasi wisata. Ajang tahunan ini melibatkan semua sektor industri pariwisata dari 10 negara anggota ASEAN yaitu Brunei Darussalam, Kamboja, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Filipina, Singaporea, Thailand, dan Vietnam ditambah tiga negara di Asia yakni China, India, dan Korea. ATF 2017 secara digelar pada 16-20 Januari di Singapura. Tema ATF 2017 yaitu “Shaping Our Tourism Journey Together” sekaligus juga merayakan ulang tahun ASEAN yang ke-50 dengan mengkampanyekan “Visit ASEAN@50: Golden Celebrations.”
